Interior cost in Tamil Nadu is quoted a dozen different ways, which is exactly why two estimates for the same home can differ by lakhs. Here is how we think about it at Kurumban Crafts, and how you should read any quote you receive in Madurai, Coimbatore, Chennai or Bengaluru.
Ballpark for 2026
- 2 BHK essential interiors: ₹6 to ₹10 lakh
- 2 BHK premium turnkey: ₹10 to ₹16 lakh
- 3 BHK turnkey: ₹14 to ₹26 lakh
- Villa or 4 BHK luxury: ₹28 lakh and above
These are full-home ranges including modular kitchen, wardrobes, TV and living units, false ceiling, lighting, painting and a pooja space. They are not per-square-foot magic numbers, because no honest interior is priced purely by area.
The three things that move the number
First, material and hardware grade. Second, the amount of carpentry — wardrobes and storage are the bulk of any interior. Third, finishes: PU and veneer cost more than laminate, but they age differently. Everything else is detail.
A per-square-foot quote is a marketing number. A line-item quote is an honest one.
Questions to ask before you sign
- Is the carcass marine ply or HDHMR, and is it in writing?
- Which hardware brand, and what is the warranty?
- Is painting, electrical and false ceiling included or extra?
- Who supervises the site, and how often?
- What is the penalty if the timeline slips?
We deliver across Tamil Nadu and Karnataka with a fixed timeline, daily site updates and a five-year warranty on wood-works. If you would like a transparent, itemised estimate for your home, talk to us — the first consultation is free.
