The brief
Dr. Karthik wanted a wellness clinic that did not feel clinical. We used reclaimed teak panelling salvaged from a 1940s Chettinad home — the patina did half the design work. Brass-trim consultation room doors, hand-thrown ceramic planters, terracotta floor tiles, and a single carved pillar at the reception desk. The waiting area looks more like a tea-room than a clinic. Patients comment on it daily; bookings are up 40%.
